Rain and Snow in St. George

Snow in St. GeorgeTaylor goes to Birthday party

(Click pictures to enlarge)

The hills are white, everywhere is wet, and white stuff is falling from the sky.  I was told there was snow to the freeway in the gorge this morning and there was white stuff on the top of my car when I went out to it.

Taylor finished her project on Lyndon B. Johnson last night.  She did it all by herself.  I hope she gets a good grade, she did it all while I was at the house of one of my clients.

Taylor went to Kaitlyn's birthday party yesterday, she had a great time.  It was pretty neat to watch the limo pull up to pick her up. (Kaitlyn's relatives have a limo service)

Shaylie and I delivered cookies to all my families yesterday and we took Blackberry for walks.

Today, Shaylie has Girl Scouts and Taylor has Soccer, busy times ahead.

Utah Railway in N Scale

Utah Railway
Well, I have the new engines running on the layout.  They look great!  Ralph Huddlestone painted them, and then showed me how to put the decals on. Then he took them home and clear-coated them, so they should last a long time.

We had our monthly train club meeting last night at my house.  We showed off the new engines, showed the web site and showed my house in HO scale.  We then went out to the train room and ran trains for an hour, it was great to have the meeting there.

Rainy Day

It's raining today in St. George.  I guess we can't complain too loudly since we have had about five days in a row of near perfect weather, in my opinion.  It's nice to have a good little soak now and again.

We had a good visit with Bobbie.  We had a good time checking out the Parade of Homes and some local furniture stores...getting good decorating and project ideas.  Bobbie was a little more ambitious in her plans than I...I told her if she does a good job with her building projects, she can do some for me...It could be a good little summer business for her....BobbieBuilt Furniture...

Taylor and I have been visiting the homes that Bob and I didn't get a chance to see.  She likes decorating and home stuff too.  I'm glad.

We're trying to head to Phoenix on Thursday for Mike's graduation on Friday...I don't have anywhere to leave BB though.  I might have to leave Scott home with him.  I don't want to do that...but I don't want to take him with us either.  I need to come up with a plan.  We're heading back Saturday so that we can be back for church on Sunday....we are starting a new schedule and Scott is in charge of Sharing Time.  I wish we could stay for longer and more fun....

Hope you have sunny weather where you are....if not, I hope you have a sunny disposition.  Take care and we'll post again soon.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a terrific Valentine's day!  Scott woke up early and surprised us all with presents and decorations all over the house.  The girls were so thrilled when they woke up to chocolate, teddy bears, and paper hearts plastered all over the house.---Not to mention my 3 lb. Solid Chocolate Heart. (I'll be eating it all year.) It was a great start to the day.

Taylor took her masterpiece creation for her class Valentine Box contest and ended up winning!!!  It was a big project we had all worked on for at least two nights.  She wanted to make the biggest and best box...which apparently she did....since she won!!!

Shaylie had a terrific party in her class too.  She came home with lots and lots of sweets, but no declarations of love (thank goodness!) from the boys in her class....other than the prepackaged valentine wishes.

Later in the evening, Scott took me to dinner while Taylor tended Shaylie & BB.  We had quite a wait to get into Red Lobster, so we went window shopping at Staples & Old Navy. Dinner was fabulous, a great Valentine's date.  (Ooops.  I was informed by Shaylie that calling it a date is "gross."  According to her, I should just say that we are "spending time together."  I was chastised many times yesterday for saying the D-word. )

I'm excited today to have my friend Bobbie coming down to visit.  She's coming tonight and staying until Saturday...We are going to visit the Parade of Homes and I get to show off my new house, since this is the first time she's been down since we moved.

Another busy weekend ahead...but that's what keeps life exciting and amazing!  We'll post again soon!

Shaylie and the Swan

Shaylie and the SwanTaylor, Shaylie and I went to the park yesterday for a father-daughter-daughter outing.  As we started to swing, a swan decided that we were in her territory and came to tell us.  Unfortunately for her, we weren't too scared.  It would hiss when Blackberry got to close. I was a fun park to go to, it has a big lake with lots of ducks and swans, the only problem, there are lots of ducks and swans,  the grass was full of natural fertilizer, no sitting on the grass at this park :-)

We had fun, we played in the playground, walked around the lake, and kicked a soccer ball around. We also all brought our mitts and played catch, even Shaylie was doing a good job catching.

There are new pictures available for viewing on our photo page.  Click Our Photos at the top of the page to view them.

Misery loves company...

Maybe that's why Chad came to visit me yesterday.  I've been sick since Sunday and it just seems to be getting worse.  He brought me some dvd's so hopefully when I'm not sleeping I can be entertained. Thanks Chad!

The girls have been enjoying the nice weather down here.  It's been so nice, I think we all have Spring Fever....or maybe I just have Hay Fever...

Scott visited a train buddies layout last night.  I guess he's got a pretty nice one, although Scott's is looking pretty good these days too.  I suppose he'll be bringing everyone over here before long.

Other than me, everyone is healthy and happy.  Just wanted to post to let everyone know we're still here and we still love you.  Post us a note...we love to hear from you!

Cookie Sales are Over!

My amazing children sold over 850 boxes all together.  Taylor sold 721 and Shaylie sold 134!!!  They have been incredibly committed to meeting their goals and I am so proud of them... Thanks to everyone who supported them in this endeavor.

Now, if anyone is available to help us deliver....

A Fun Week!

We had a great week at the Jesienouski house.  Starting Saturday, with Scott's Birthday and a Primary Party.  The girls planned a surprise for Scott and while he and Taylor were at her last basketball game of the season, Shaylie and I decorated the house and when they got home we surprised him with a party.  My mom took Scott and the fam out to lunch at Fazoli's and we came home to cake and presents.

Sunday I gave my talk in church which went pretty well, even though Scott said I made him out to be the bad guy, which was not my intent at all...I just wanted to let everyone know how amazing he is that he has made such great choices in life...I was glad to share our story with our friends.

Monday, the girls and I were invited by our friends the Sabaitis' family to go to the Circus.  It was right after school at the fairgrounds and I didn't tell the girls where we were going.  They tried to guess and it was so much fun to keep them going...Shaylie was the one who finally guessed it.  It was a pretty good little Circus.  They had lions, and tigers, and bears (Oh my) as well as cute trained puppies, acrobats, bike and motorcycle tricksters, trapeze artists, jugglers, and elephants.  The girls even got to ride the elephant during the intermission.

Tuesday and Wednesday we hit the Cookie Sales pretty hard. Taylor is now over 500 boxes and Shaylie is approaching 200.  It's too bad they have to share this year.  But as long as we survive delivery week, we'll be okay.  We have until Saturday so Scott and Taylor are planning to hit the old neighborhood over the next couple days.

It's going to be tricky since we have Bella's birthday party Friday evening...and our friends the Miles are coming on Friday night to stay and visit a couple days.  We are so excited! They moved to SLC in December and the kids especially are dying to see each other again.  It will be good for them to get out of the freezing weather.  We're suppose to hit almost 70 by early next week....this is the beginning of my favorite time of year down here.

So, that's pretty much it.  We finalized plans for traveling to Phoenix at the end of the month.  We'll be going down to see Mike's graduation from the Harley Davidson program he's been doing so well in.  We're very proud of him and we wouldn't miss it.

Love to everyone...we'll post again soon.
