The end of an era

The techfamily.com is going away. I just found out that our service provider is doing away with all free accounts on the 13th. So this could be the last entry on the web site. I'm going to go and cry.

The Carpet!

The Carpet is in! :) :) :) :) It looks great! :) :) :) :) All the colors we chose for the walls have turned out great, and our couch even matches now, so it doesn't look so bad! :satisfied: I can't wait until we get all of our furniture back in.

Tonya decided to paint her dresser, as it was all dinged up, and really didn't match anything in the room. She is out in the garage painting in now.

Both Taylor and Shaylie love the carpet.

Shaylie's Dance

Shaylie Practicing

Shaylie had her Dance Show over the weekend. Her costume wasn't ready until Saturday, so that was a little stress.
Shaylie preformed beautifully in her dances :D, unfortunately, her dances and the one's that she was supposed to be doing were not the same ones ;) At least we know that she has a song in her heart.
She was a joy to watch. We have video at home of her dance, we would put it online, but few others in our family have the ability to download such large files, so you will have to wait and see it on the camera.
Also, we are done painting the hallway and the living room, we also painted the trim and ceiling in our bedroom. We should be getting the paint today for our bedroom and then we will be done.
We pulled up the carpet on Saturday. Our house echos a lot without it. We have our mattresses laid out in Taylor and Shaylie's room. It makes for tight sleeping, but it has been ok. I can't wait until we get our new carpet!

Shaylie is so funny!

I have to post the thing that Shaylie just told me! I was asking her to help me by picking up a dress-up skirt that the girls had left out. I was trying to encourage her by telling her how helpful she would be saying, "You will be the best helper in the whole wide world!" She must have seen through my exaggeration though because she just looked at me and said, "That's not the point, mom!"

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I probably won't post again before then and I just want my family to know that I love you and miss you! Thanks for all you do for us! Happy Holidays!

A big week

We have a lot of things to do this week. I am setting up 36 computers this week for people. I have also setup zen to run differently. Also, I am setting up the computers using a new technique and new software, so this could be interesting.

We also are packing up the house. The Elder's quorum is coming on Friday to move all of our furniture into the garage, and on Saturday, Tonya's relatives are coming down to help us rip up the carpet and paint. The new carpet gets put in on Wednesday of next week.

Shaylie has her dance recital on Saturday. To make me nervous, I don't know if she knows any of the dances. That is usually cute, going to recital's and seeing kids not know what to do, but this time, IT IS MY CHILD. I am going to be a nervous wreck. And to make matters worse, everyone will be here for it.

Back to Work

Here I am sitting in my office again. Had a pretty good weekend, but had allergy's all weekend. Hoping for a phone call saying that my laptop has arrived. I am working on setting up all new ZEN setups for computers, hopefully I will have them done by the end of the week.

I have my winter LAN meeting in Salt Lake on Wednesday. The weather is supposed to be good here, I hope it is good up there for travel.

Shaylie is somewhat under the weather. She had a hard time last night.

Tonya is now a goth :D She was experimenting with hair color over the weekend, trying to get it red. It did turn red ;), unfortunately, it was close to Ronald McDonald Red, so they dyed it very dark to get out that color. So now, she almost has black hair. Will update more later on that.

Lots to catch up, and Happy Thanksgiving

Once again, haven't written in a while, where to start.... Taylor is really enjoying Girl Scouts, I am glad that we got her in that, she has already earned her first award and has made a couple of things.

We went as a family to see "Brother Bear," we all felt that it was a good movie. The lady behind us really liked it, as she was all out crying at the ending. Her daughter kept getting her tissues.

There was a tragedy at Taylor's school this week. Taylor's art teacher's (btw art is her favorite subject) husband was killed in a robbery on Tuesday. Taylor was pretty upset, she came home and said that she had news, that art class was cancelled for a long time due to the teacher's husband being murdered.

On a much lighter note, Shaylie is getting ready for a dance recital. I hope she does well.

My computers for Cedar City have arrived, but the one's for St. George have not. We are getting nervous. My laptop also hasn't arrived, but that is because it was out of stock. It is what we get for picking that machine, everybody wants one!

Thanksgiving dinner was great, way to much food and deserts, and fun games. Tonya, as usual, won all the knowledge games, with Taylor cheering her on.

Hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving. I am traveling up to Salt Lake on Tuesday, if the new carpet doesn't arrive.

I cooked!

I made egg noodles last night! It is one of my favorite meals from my childhood. I had mom on the phone the whole time so that I wouldn't screw them up :D They were a big hit, as they turned out very well! Taylor had thirds, which usually means they are good, and Tonya even said she liked them. Funny thing was after we got them cooking, Tonya found the recipe for them in her "Joy of Cooking" cookbook, although pretty much everything is in that book

As you can tell, since it is the day after we ate them, I didn't kill off the family, so they must have been ok.

Taylor is Awesome!

We just got back from Taylor's school. We were attending the Storytelling Festival to watch Taylor tell her story: When The Rooster Crowed by Patricia Lillie. She was so awesome! I was really nervous for her but she got right up in front of the whole school (even 5th graders, said Taylor) and told it like a pro, actions and everything! There were only a few 2nd grade kids who did it in front of the school since they aren't allowed in the competition next week. Many of the 2nd graders opted to just tell the story in front of their own class, but our Taylor wanted to do it in front of everyone! She is so brave! Next year, she will have this good experience to help her in the competition! And frankly, I think she would have done well this year! I don't know why they don't allow it. Anywho, Scott and I are so proud of her (as if you can't tell). She is so much more brave than I was at her age I can't stand it. I wish everyone could have seen it. I have never wanted a video camera more! Oh well, someday. I will always remember this though! I was truly impressed with her poise and her courage! That was a scary experience and she came through it with bells on! Good job sweetie! :D :D

Another Shaylie Mishap

Well, she did it again. This time the girls were playing in the backyard and Shaylie was sliding on the slide with a pole in her mouth. (I didn't know this, of course.) I heard this gurgly kind of scream and Shaylie came running in with blood dripping out of her mouth. I didn't know what had happened at first, but after a little patience and a lot of questions, I determined that the pole had cut underneath Shay's tongue. I debated about going to the doctor but then figured there wouldn't be much they could do about it anyway. She is all but healed today and this happened on Sunday (as usual).

I wanted to tell you, Rose, that quilts are great. It's what I prefer since they seem to hold up better, but if you find something that is cute in comforters that's okay too. I posted earlier in reply to your first question but you must have missed it. Sorry if I caused you to miss any good buys. I know you will get something wonderful.

I don't really have anything else to post. We are still very busy, and I'm sure it will only be getting busier as we head into the holidays. I am SOOOO excited to get my new carpet. The color is Seafoam green and I love it! We are inviting as many family members as can manage (especially the big manly men) to come help us with the operation since we'll have to move ALL our furniture out and we might paint the walls as well since it seems to be a good time with no carpet or furniture in the house. It will go pretty quick I think. I will let everyone know when I have the date scheduled for the installation. I'm going to try to do it over a weekend if possible, so it will be more convenient for everyone.

Our love to everyone! We'll post again soon! :)

Already November!

Times flies when you don't update your web site :) What to catch you up on? Taylor is taking a painting class from a lady in our ward. Her first project was a thanksgiving turkey. It is really cute. Shaylie is in a dance class. Tonya is really busy with PTA and Scouts, and I am about to get around 40 new computers at work. So basically, we are all really busy.

We are thinking about having Christmas here in St. George, the weather is normally better, and the family new year's party is sounding like it will be in Utah Valley, so we won't have to travel far for that. So mom, if it is ok with you to come down, let us know.

We are getting new carpeting!!!!! Boulevard had a GREAT sale (and 18 months no paying, gotta love that :D), so we are getting rid of our wrinkled, matted-down, messy, stained, so-dirty-you-don't-want-to-touch-it grey crapet, I mean carpet :P

P.S. I am hopefully getting a new laptop  although if I get the one I want, laptop computer is an incorrect term. It would be better called a "transportable computer." The one I want is ten pounds and has a 17" screen.

Just time for a quick note...

Hi everybody! It's been a long time since I've logged on and that is mainly because we've been so busy around here lately. :hehe: It almost seems like Halloween time is busier than Christmas. Anje invited the girls up to her school carnival so they took their witch costumes and went trick-or-treating last Friday. Last night was Taylor's last day of baseball camp. She was cute and I think she had fun and learned a lot. Tonight, we are getting ready for our Ward Trunk-or-Treat party. I like to do this but they only announced it Sunday and so I am big on ideas and short on time. I am trying to come up with something quick and easy. And of course, Friday is really Halloween so we are getting ready for that as well.

Taylor has a big field trip on Thursday which I am chaperoning. We are going to visit all the historical sites around St. George. The kids have been learning about history and grandparent and the ends of life cycles. Ha ha! I tried to get Scott to take the day off and go in my place since I went on the field trip last year too, but Taylor made noises about wanting me to come and I think he felt bad after that.

Shaylie also has dance today, which she loves and is getting very good at. I haven't heard when they will be doing any kind of recital but I will post it when I do. She is so cute and most days we can get her to do some of her moves around the house

I've been extraordinarily busy with PTA and it's not even my year yet. I want to be involved as much as I can this year so that I know what I am doing next year, but I'm going to have to start cutting back a bit as it is so time consuming. I did have fun making a Christmas Tree ornament for the PTA tree for Jubilee of Trees. And we just finished our school fundraiser...Thanks to everyone who bought from Taylor, she earned over $100 for her school.

Well, I guess this note hasn't been so quick after all, but the little boy I babysit on Tuesdays just arrived so I had better get going. His mom watches Shaylie when I go to the school on Wednesday so it works out well for us both.

Love to everyone! Talk to you later! :hehe:

Together again

Tonya and the girls made it home a little after 4:00 yesterday afternoon. After that, we raced to get the girls ready for baseball practice. Shaylie was the most excited, as she has a big group of friends to play with at the practice, and the fact that those girls bring a LOT of toys with them. Taylor had one of her best practices, fielding a ball on one hop at first base and getting the runner out. She also hit a ball into the outfield grass, which in her age group is a pretty impressive hit. Then they all went down to the batting cages to get more hitting practice, where Taylor did very well.

That night was a very special Dora the Explorer on television, where you meet Dora's cousin, Diego. As the girls' wanted to see that, they were very good at getting ready for bed, they both showered and were under the covers in time for the show to start.

All in all, I am glad everyone is home.

Home Alone

I am all alone in St. George. My family is up in Park City at my mother-in-law's time-share condo. I have been very busy at work though. Microsoft came out with 4 patches for windows XP and 5 for windows 2000 so I have been going around getting all the computers patched so that I never (hopefully) have a virus again. In fact, I patched all of my Cedar City computers from home.

The Cubs blew it last night. That was frustrating to watch, although it was not unexpected, the way they lost game six. Baseball isn't as much fun when there is noone to watch it with you.

I miss you Tonya, Taylor, and Shaylie, be safe.

Another Fair

A fair came to town this weekend. This was the first time that Shaylie got to spend the whole day at the fair. Both girls had a very fun time, although Shaylie did not like the kiddie coaster. Taylor rode everything at least 5 times, including a new spinning ride that she probably rode 10 times! Shaylie even rode the 100 foot tall ferris wheel! :) It was a very fun day.

An interesting talk

Taylor and I were walking to the fair at the mall (more on that later) and we saw a baby lizard. Then Taylor said, "I wonder where its mother is? Maybe it died. We have been studying life cycles is school, I like life cycles."

Then to make me feel wonderful, she says, "You're near the end of your life cycle, aren't you?"

Our Cable's back!

We finally got our cable back on this morning. A truck got tangled in the wire a couple of days ago and took out our electricity and cable, which includes my internet access. The wire was only 12 feet high in a place where it was supposed to be 15' 5" inches high, so they better do something to make us happy. It affected about 4500 houses in our area, which is a VERY BIG area.

We picked up the pool last night, and there was a HUGE area of black underneath the pool and it smelled terrible. We sprayed mildew cleaner on it, and it started to go away, although this morning it still smelled like a dirty cow pasture. Hopefully we will be able to get it cleaned up today.

Shaylie is going to spend time with me at work today. I hope things work out ok.

Halloween decorations

We had a busy night last night. First, it was decided that it was time to drain the pool. So I opened up all the holes. You should have seen all the worms come out of the grass! At least we know our lawn will be well nourished. Taylor played with the worms while Shaylie wanted to get as far away from them as possible.

Next was baseball practice. Taylor went and did ok in that, although she wasn't playing as much attention as I would like.

Then we came home and decorated for halloween. We put up our ghosts and our huge pumpkin and all the little decorations we had. Shaylie found her old ladybug costume and wore that all night, even though it is now way to small. She looked like a martian with her little antenae :D

Today, I am picking up a U-Haul and driving to Enterprise and collecting all of DWS's stuff from that school and then going over to Pine View. Hope the school's have a big problem with us showing up!

A whole new week

I am back! I found my pager (the battery was dead) I got to work early, listened to all the messages on my phone, although most were deleted due to the fact that they were so old. I have to setup four machines this morning, so I will be extremely busy. Also, Microsoft released two new patches over the weekend, so I set the servers up to install the files, and emailed everyone else that need it. Tonight and tomorrow I will install it on the job connection computers.

Taylor has baseball tonight and then we are going to decorate for halloween (Taylor has been begging) We are also going to take down the pool tonight. I am sad :(

Updated Web Page

After 3 years, :doze: I have finally updated Taylor's webpage. Taylor came up with all the text on the site. Make sure that you stick around on the page for a while and look at all the pictures of Taylor through the years!

Next up, I have to update Shaylie's page.

Last Day of Training

Today is the last day of my class :D I am extremely happy that I soon will be home with my family. I have been missing all of my girls. Class has been ok, although it has been a little long on lecture.

Visiting mom has been nice. We even got grandma to go with us to Applebee's :satisfied: Mom and I went up to the cemetary and changed dad's flowers. We also went over and visited Auntie Roxy and Uncle Lloyd. Turns out that I don't need to do my family's geneology, it appears that they have done it already.

Now I just need to take some new pictures.

Test of New System

Wouldn't you know it. The second I finished getting everything working, a new version came out! :) I am testing it now. Look! :D We now have emoticons

Back in Business

As you can see, I now have the web site back up and running. I still don't have pictures on the side, but everyone was complaining about how old they were anyway, so I figured that I would just start over with them. I am still in Salt Lake at the Training. I miss my family lots. I heard Taylor had a good time at camp.

I already have work to do when I get home. I computer that I just redid has been messed up. I had just redone it on Friday, that has to be a record. But I guess I have to be nice to the person, or I will get another "He's not very nice" on my performance evaluation.

Wednesday, October 1, 2003

Oh well

As you can see, I blew up our web site. :( At least the pictures now work! I will be working on getting everything back up and running as soon as I can.

I am up in Salt Lake all week at a tcpip training. I have fixed the cgi on my site, but as you can see, I am still working on the pictures.

Baseball Camp

Taylor has had her first day of Baseball camp. At first, I was very nervous, but she fit in well. The nice thing about being the only girl there, all of the coaches knew her name. They also treated her very well. She did well, and one thing that made her mad was some people didn't notice that she was a girl.

I'm glad the worrying was for not. Every Monday, she has an instructional game from 5:15 to 6:45.

Taylor's New Picture

Taylor's school pictures have arrived. Here is a preview:

taylor03 (22k image)

Shaylie also got pictures taken, we should get hers soon.

Life of Fun Continues

It's a Monday. Riding to work this morning I hit a strip of metal and it flattened my tire in about 5 seconds. I didn't even see it and had a terrible time hanking it out. The worst thing is, I just got my bike tuned up last week and it was riding so well. Oh well, the bike shop opens at 8:00, I'll be first in line.

Taylor starts her baseball camp tonight, although I do not know if she will stick with it. There are 95 kids at the camp, and she is the only girl. The only thing I can hope for is that since she be the tallest 7 year old there, she should be ok in the 6-7 year old division. She asked mom to go so that she wouldn't be the only girl there. She was, after all, one of the two best players on her team this past year. We'll see, if she doesn't like it, she doesn't have to stay.

Another long week

I really hate viruses! Ever since we had that virus a couple of weeks ago, we have been mandated to keep all of our microsoft patches up to date. I had to go to every machine that I maintain and download about 35 patches per machine. I finally finished all of my computers in Cedar and St. George on Wednesday, and what comes out Wednesday night!? Another patch. Fortunately, since all the computers where up-to-date, I was able to send that patch out over the network and it installed onto the computers automatically. I thought then that I was done, but now there are patches for other programs we have on our network, and those are not going to be as easy. Oh well, life goes on. Just have to remember, "Job Security."

Here we are again

Another week has passed. On Thursday and Friday, I went to Salt Lake for our annual WIT conference (that's all the computer people at DWS). After the conference, we had our annual softball game, which is usually won by the programmers, however, this year, WE BEAT THE PROGRAMMER'S. I had a pretty good performance too. I had a double and two singles, with 2 rbi's. I also got to play my good position, 1st base and did pretty well there too, although I did accidently trip one guy (hey it was a small base)

Over the weekend, I went around to every computer in my St. George DWS building and got them all up to date with windowsupdate patches. Today, I am hoping to do all the outreach computers and health machines. By the end of the week, I want to have everything up to date.

Taylor and Shaylie have developed a new habit (that we will have to break) They wake up in the middle of the night, wake us up to tell us that they are scared, and then go and sleep on the couch. We will have to cure them of this one in a hurry.

New Dishwasher

The new dishwaser is in, and it is HUGE! We can put a 2 quart pitcher in the top shelf and there is still 4 inches of space above it. Our old one couldn't hold a large cup in the top. I don't know if we own enough dishes to have a full load in this dishwasher!

Because we did not have a printer or a scanner, we bought a new multifunction printer, scanner, copier. President Bush was right in saying that sending out checks would stimulate the economy because we sure went out and bought stuff. Before everyone gets on me about buying computer stuff, the printer is actually Tonya's request.

Shaylie actually said she liked me today and she let me hug her without screaming, things are looking up!

Monday, August 18, 2003

A new week

Start of another new week. I am running the virus scan again this morning, although today in silent mode. I just want to make sure that everything is cleaned up. We bought a new dishwasher over the weekend, it will be installed either today or tomorrow. Our old one finally gave out, thankfully, a check came from the IRS, so it all worked out in the end.

Taylor's bike was on the last stages of life, I moved it off the lawn and the front wheel felt like it was going to fall off any second, so fearing for my daughter's life, we also got her a new bike.

I am traveling up to Salt Lake Thursday for a Friday morning meeting. This meeting also ends with our third annual softball game, the previous 2 won by the programmers, I hope the rest of the lan staff practiced a little this year.

One last thing, I updated the susportacademy page and asked him if my daughter can attend, he said she she could, so now Taylor has seven weeks of baseball ahead, we are both excited.

Virus, Virus

Well, I have had a fun couple of days! Yesterday a virus (worm, but I don't like that term) basically spread throughout our state network and brought down a lot of computers. I would say about thirty percent of mine went down, but I heard of other agencies and other states being much worse. I spent the afternoon cleaning up St. George and then drove to Cedar and cleaned that up. I got home about 11:00. Hope that is the end of it. will know soon enough....

First Day of School, and other things

Taylor's first day of school is today! She was really excited last night, but she was a little scared this morning. She and I talked for a little while, and Tonya said that it must have worked because she wasn't scared at all at school. She likes her new teacher, and hopefully things will go well. There is another Taylor in the class, so she is back to being Taylor J.

We had Shaylie's birthday party yesterday, so that some people could come to it. She had a ladybug birthday cake, and ladybug birthday cupcakes. She got some good presents, including a new ladybug bike. Hopefully soon she will be able to ride it.

Taylor in Mesquite

Taylor is down in Mesquite gambling. Not really, she is down there with grandma Dawn and Anissa and Anje and they all are spending lots of time at the swimming pool. Taylor and Shaylie are going to go for a visit to Holden and Cedar this weekend while we celebrate our 11th anniversary. We are probably going to the Shakespearean(sp?) festival and see a play. In all the time that we went to that school and all the plays that we have seen, we have never been in the Adam's Theatre so we are making a point to see one there.

I am putting in the hours this week, I am moving email accounts around as we are consoladating our email post offices. Hopefully, I will be finished with this tonight.

Team pictures arrived!

The trip review

I have been very busy at work lately so that is why I haven't put up our updates yet, I needed to get the pictures on before I wrote again. Well, I have finally got the photos up, so first of all, go check them out.

We had a great trip, We went to Idaho for a week to stay with Tonya's Dad and spent a week in Salt Lake with my mom. It was a fun relaxing time. Tonya does a better job describing things, so I will let her.

Still don't have the team pictures yet. Next year, I will have Mike do them, and not do the official pictures, as he did a better (and much faster) job.

Week in Review

Here we are, falling behind in our updates, again. We had a good 4th. We went to the park in the morning and did some of the fun activities. Taylor and Shaylie both road ponies at the park. They both loved it. They both slid down the water ramp that they had at the park. They also did a lot of the city games, like shooting basketballs, which Taylor did really good on. They also did throw the beanbag through the holes, which both girls did really well. Shaylie even did good on ring toss, where you had to throw a ring onto orange cones, where lots of kids a little older than her were not hitting anything. Taylor also went to the dunking booth and got dunked a couple of times. When it got a little warmer, we went home and played in the pool. Later, Tonya barbequed chicken and she and taylor made potato salad.
We went to the park about 8:00. we sat in the north part of the park, we usually sat in the south part. Tonya, Taylor and Shaylie went to ride the little train and finish off all the slides that they hadn't ridden yet, while I watched our stuff. Taylor and I then played catch for a little while. When the fireworks started, we found that sitting in the north part of the park gave us the feeling that we were under the fireworks. It was a rather short show, so we were a little disappointed, but it was a very fun day.

The family has been working all week on cleaning up the house before our big trip while I was in Cedar City installing a new file server.

Tuesday, July 1, 2003

Oops!

We just got back from an emergency trip to the doctor, but don't worry all is well.

Shaylie, Taylor and friend Misty were out back swimming when Shaylie tried to get out of the pool by herself, but the pool flipped her out onto the cement and she got a big old black and blue gooseegg on the side of her head. I took her into the Doctor to make sure she wasn't concussed or bleeding in her brain, which she wasn't. Thank Goodness!

While we were gone, Misty and Taylor were at Misty's house wrapping presents and making Get Well Cards for her, plus the Doctor gave her a bracelet for being good at the office. So, after all was said and done, Shaylie made out pretty well.

I, on the other hand, was baking lemon bar cookies when the emergency came on, and we rushed out of the house without a thought for turning off the stove. When we got back the oven was beeping and my cookies were burned to a big black crisp. We were lucky that we can't say the same about the house, I suppose. So much for Relief Society treats tonight!

Well, we are leaving for Cedar today to help my sister move into her new ground floor apartment. She needs some help moving the bigger stuff so my brother and husband were volunteered to be the muscle. It's good Karma! We are happy to help!

Happy July!

Out and About

Lasty night, we went to Sand Hollow Reservoir. It is a new reservoir about 15 minutes away from St. George. It is a great place to go swimming. To one side of of, there are a lot of big rocks to climb around on and swim around. Then there are two BIG rock out a little ways that you can swim to. The lake is deep enough that people where jumping off of the largest rock. I swam out to the littler one but did not jump off of it. Taylor swam around a little, but we did not bring any stuff, so Shaylie just got to wade a little ways in. We are going to to have to go back and spend more time there!

Summertime!

Well, the baseball season is over! Taylor did very well in her last game, she played 2nd base and got several outs. I don't know exactly how many but I'm sure her dad does. She also almost got a double play. She stopped the ball, tagged her base and threw it to 1st in plenty of time for the out, but the 1st base player wasn't paying attention. Go figure! So now, Baseball is over just in time for the celebrations for the Fourth.

We are staying in St. George for the Fourth of July weekend. There is always a lot to do here to celebrate. We usually head down to the "Fireworks" park, where they have all kinds of rides and games and booths set up during the day. At night, we camp out and enjoy the festive atmosphere until the fireworks are over, then head home to do sparklers and such. We will probably throw a bbq in there somewhere too! The only thing missing from the celebration is family, but unfortunately nobody wants to come down to the heat! Oh well!

Starting on the 11th, we are leaving for Idaho to visit my Dad. We haven't seen his place since they moved up there close to a year ago. We will spend a week there seeing the sights and visiting. Then the following weekend we are going to Grandma J's house, then home again. We are fast running out of summer since School starts on August 12th for Taylor this year!

We may still sign up for swimming lessons after we get home, but we'll have to see how it goes. Now that we have our pool to keep us cool, it's not as necessary to find wet spots around town. It's been nice!

We hope everyone is enjoying their summertime adventures. We will be glad to see our family up north, which is mostly everyone now. Have fun and see you soon!

We are ready for book 6!

Tonya and I have both finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. And the character that dies is...I'llllll nevvver telllllll. We both liked the book, and I believe Tonya is already rereading it. I am going to get the audio cd's soon, and then I will listen to it all the way through. It is 23 cd's long!

Taylor and Shaylie are still in Holden. They went to the pageant in Manti over the weekend. Shaylie seems to have grown up over the weekend as we are having a hard time telling her voice from Taylor's on the phone.

We went to see Hulk this weekend. It was pretty good. I liked how they made it feel like a comic book. That made it more fun.

We also rented Star Trek: Nemisis. I can't believe this was the first time we saw this movie, however, now seeing it, I can see why it is the last movie. My biggest complaint of the movie is that they must have forgot that they were in the Star Trek universe. I have to say that I just didn't like it.

Another Game gone by, kids gone.

We had another baseball game last night. We were on the sun field and you could tell the team just was not into it. Very few kids hit it hard, and they were just not into it. Taylor hit a ball hard, but it hit a kid in the chest, so it didn't go far.

Most of Tonya's side of the family were down for the game. We went to Cafe Rio after the game. After that, Taylor and Shaylie packed into Grandma Dawn's car to visit for the weekend. Tonya will now be able to read the new Harry Potter book without interruption. ;-)

Only two days to go till the book is here!

Another new week

Here it is Monday again! Over the weekend, Taylor had her baseball game. She was the second baseman. By herself, she got about 5 outs! Everyone hit ok, even Austin, who hit one over my head! Not bad, since at the beginning of the season, he couldn't even swing or hold a bat! Then we traveled up to Holden for the weekend. We had a father's day Bar-B-Que there and we got back late Sunday night.

Oh, by the way, we went and saw Finding Nemo on Friday. Everyone loved it, especially Shaylie. She wants to see it again. Will have to wait for the dollar theatre for that, however.

One game this week, and one more after that and the season is over. I will be sad when it all ends, especially now that I have all their names down. It has been a pretty fun season.

P.S. It looks like we will be traveling next month. We look to be gone from the 11th through the 26th.

Busy Week

This is a two baseball game week. On Wednesday, we have a game at 7:00. However, before the game, at 6:15 we have team pictures. I am glad that they are before the game, as long as everyone shows up. We also have a game on Saturday at 9:00am in the morning.

Fun Weekend!

We just had a fun weekend with Aunt Anissa and Anje. They came to see Taylor play in her ballgame on Saturday morning. Taylor played really well, and Dad was pitching great too. They got a lot of quicker, harder hits. I think it was a more relaxed, fun game, too, even with Anje and Shaylie marching across the field several times.

After the ball game the girls had fun in the pool and Scott and I got to go see Matrix Reloaded. Thank you Aunt Anissa! We barbecued and had fun, but the only bummer was that I was sick. I had my first summer cold this year, although I suspect it may have been partially due to my low thyroid, although I really know nothing about that since I haven't discussed it with my doctor yet....so I spent a bit of the time dozing and trying to feel better.

But the girls were so happy to be together and playing, they even got along really well and helped Dad to do some sprucing up. I guess Anje and Taylor have planned another sleepover for this Thursday night at Aunt Anissa's house, so that will be the next fun thing to look forward to...after the ballgame this Wednesday night, of course.

We hope to see everyone sometime over the summer. We will probably be calling some of you to make plans within the near future. We really need to get away from the stress of work and the heat of St. George for a while. Let us know if you have anything in mind for the summer! Love, the Jesienouski's!

Baseball Schedule & Summer Plans

As per request, I am posting Taylor's baseball game schedule on the Calendar link from this page. If you want to see when her games are being played, click on the Calendar link at the top of our home page, then click on the month or date you would like to view.

I am also trying to make our summer plans. Let us know if you have a request for specific dates, times or children and we will do our best to accommodate you. :) We won't be doing much traveling, if any, in June because of Baseball. And Scott likes to spend the fourth of July down here where there are lots of fun things to do! But after that, we are going to try to get up north where it is cooler. School starts up kind of early this year--August 12th--so there you go!

Taylor and Shaylie are already making full use of the summer months. I'm sure they will be little beach blonde babies by the time the summer is over. Look for pictures, since we are trying to keep them up a little better.

Love ya! Hope to see you soon!

It's a MonTues

I hate Monday's that are on Tuesdays. Something major always seems to go wrong. The day started off good, went to the gym and had a workout, and felt fine. After biking into work, I found out that richfield's server was down. Called Lance at 7:30, we weren't able to get it back up until he went in. Then I had a new user come in this morning. I couldn't get her user to move because my servers were not in timesync. So I spent 90 minutes trying to get that fixed, finally did. Then I found out that half of the power is off in Richfield, of course the half that the server is plugged into is the one that was off. What a morning!

We have baseball practice tonight at 6:00, hope I can get everyone playing to the best of their abilities.

The pool is wonderful (although still very cold), the nice thing is, it is keeping our patio cool.

New Pool

We broke down and bought a new pool for the girls (and us). This pool has a filter so it will be easier to keep clean. It is also deep enough for Tonya and I to sit in and relax.

Game #1

We had our first game last night, it went ok for the team. I wish I could watch the game more, being pitcher is hard because you can't watch the game as a fan. Being first base coach last year was the best, because you got to be where the happy kids were because they just got a hit. Now the time I see them, they are nervous trying to hit my pitches. Some of the kids ran to first base and just kept running straight, a few kids on both team could not find 2nd base, but that was ok. Now for the big news: TAYLOR GOT A TRIPLE PLAY!!!!! She caught a fly ball, was standing on second base, so the kid on second basewas running with the hit, so he was out, Taylor threw the ball to first and that boy was out! It was so great!!!! I ran out and high-fived her there. That was a great moment.

This morning was the first-grade pancake breakfast. A few parents brought grills and I helped cook pancakes! (Yes me) By the end, I was actually doing pretty well. All four 1st-grade classes were out there, so we had a lot of kids, it was pretty fun. Afterwards, all the kids were going around getting signature books signed.

Practice #3

We had a practice last night, where we played a mock game. It went ok, the kids were starting to learn how to get people out, I just hope that the teams we play, don't hit the ball far. We haven't practiced defense much, but I can't imagine the other teams have either. We don't have a really big hitter yet, so the last batter is still up for grabs. Tara and Aubrey weren't there, so I hope they remember that there is a game tonight, especially Aubrey, as her family is bringing treats!

I am in Cedar City today, hope that nothing stops me from getting home by 6:45 tonight.

Practice #2

Our second practice went much better than the first, the kids and the adults understood the rotation, so that went well. I was able to get all the kids to hit, even if it only went a couple of feet (sometimes that actually goes better, because no one is standing that close. We are going to have another practice on Tuesday, in which we will play a mock game. I watched to see who can hit and throw well at practice and tried to divide up the team fairly. Our first game is Wednesday. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

Tonya is up in Provo with the PTA. So Taylor and Shaylie and I are having a father-daughter weekend. Things have been going well so far. We all miss you Tonya.

1st Practice

We got our first practice under our belts. It is a lot different trying to get 15 kids to play baseball than just trying to get Taylor to play. We will definately practice on the grass next time as the dirt is just to weird to play on. It is hard to keep 14 kids interested when only one is batting. Next practice I will be more organized. Things went ok, I just want to be better next time.

It's a Monday

I couldn't wake up this morning, so no gym, but in the time I got up to turn off and reset the alarm, Taylor climbed onto my side of the bed. I pushed her out of the way, and went back to sleep. Except, Taylor is the loudest sleeper that I know. She snores, she breathes load and she kicks. So I still got up pretty early. So I biked into work, reached to unlock the door, and realized that I left the keys at home. This was a big problem as I am opening and closing the building. Fortunately, one of my co-workers showed up early. Hopefully the rest of the day will go better.

Practice cancelled

The wind was blowing and the rain was falling (a little) so we cancelled practice for tonight. I wanted to have it, but we decided it would be better to start next week. Hopefully, Tuesday will have better weather. I can't decide who is more disappointed, Taylor or I. Oh well.

Tomorrow, I am again the only person in the building, so I have to work from 8-5.

New Design

I decided to change the way our page looked. I hope you like it. I fixed the dishwasher, again. I walked Taylor to School this morning, it is fun to walk with her to school. Later in the day, I walked back to school with Shaylie and she played at the slides until the bell rang and then walked them both home.

Shaylie and I went for a walk tonight. It was a wet and windy walk, as a storm was blowing in. Shaylie tends to start falling asleep around the dinosaur tracks, but I worked at keeping her awake, she didn't like that.

Tonya got a hold of the last kid on the team, I think at least 14 of the players will be there tomorrow night. Shaylie found another tee-ball, so now I have 7, which works out perfectly. We are going to make bases out of the gateway boxes. I just hope the weather is better tomorrow night than it was tonight. And I hope I don't mess up.....

Tuesday, May 6, 2003

And so it begins.....

Tonya called all of the parents of the kids on my baseball team, telling them that practice begins this Thursday at 6:00. 13 out of 15 parents said that they would be there, one said their other son has a game and will be there Tuesday, and one wasn't home. I am getting more and more nervous every day. I hope I don't mess up.

In other news, I have been going to the gym and 5:30 every morning. It is really nice to have my workout done before I go to work. I also swim and sit in the jacuzzi, so I feel really great by the time I bike to work.

Taylor lost one tooth on Thursday night, and then came home Friday from school with the other one out. It sure did make a mess, she had blood all over her sleeve and the front of her shirt, that must have been a joy to watch at school.

Shaylie only seems to hate me when she is tired now. She actually likes to play with me a lot of the time. Still won't go near me when she is mad or crying, however. Oh well, at least I can be in the same building with her now.

Monday, April 28, 2003

We had a TERRIFIC birthday weekend! Friday morning, Taylor woke up and said, "I forgot today was my School Birthday!" She was pretty excited to have Shaylie and me bring Ice Cream Bars to her class. We stayed to visit while she went over her birthday bulletin board with the class and her teacher gave her a quarter to go to the pencil machine. When she came back to class, the whole room sang Happy Birthday! She was pretty thrilled to be the Birthday Girl.

Grandma J arrived shortly after Taylor got home from school and we had a good time catching up. I caved in and let Taylor open the package that arrived from Papa Strong and Grandma Pam. She was so excited to get her "Jack and Annie" Magic Tree House books, and Junie B. Jones books...but she did wonder how they knew what her favorite books were. She's already read several chapters in one book.

Friday night was a little rough. I think because of all the excitement, Shaylie had a hard time sleeping. She was up about every hour througout the night. It was hard on me, but it was especially hard on Shaylie and Grandma J since they were sleeping in the same room. Sorry, Grandma.

Saturday was super busy and super fun! Taylor woke up before anyone and was busy drawing herself some Happy Birthday posters when I woke up. We feasted on birthday muffins for breakfast, and Taylor got her first surprise of the day. We turned on the TV to "Out of the Box" and they were having a birthday party and singing a special birthday song... to Taylor, of course. She loved it.

We spent the morning at the Annual Kite Festival. There were so many people there, flying kites, riding rides, and playing games. Shaylie and Taylor played several games and won prizes. They both got to ride the tractor train and the ferris wheel. Right before we left, we were lucky to see a sky diver carrying the American Flag land on the field. That was pretty special.

Next, we were off for a quick lunch and Taylor's soccer game at 1:00. She played goalie for the first half of the game and blocked several shots on her goal. Mom, Anissa, Anje, Chad, Krissy, and Bella came soon after the game started, so Tay had quite a cheering section. At half time, the team all wished her a special Happy Birthday and then Taylor kicked off the second half. The quick lunch took its toll on Taylor when she was playing offense, because she got a pretty good hitch in her side. But coach put her at full back for a minute and she was great. She didn't score, but she had one bounce off the post. Her team won 4-0. Way to go Starzz!

We came home at 2:00, and got finished setting up for the HULA HOOPLA at 3:00. The party was a great success! (Especially if you don't mind the dramatic posturings of 7 year old girls.) All the guests arrived and were outfitted with grass skirts and leis. As we waited for everyone to come, we played LIMBO in the backyard. Once we were all assembled, we made introductions since there were some girls who hadn't met before and welcomed everyone to our Luau. We turned on a video that taught the girls two hula dances. That went surprisingly well. The girls paid such good attention and they learned the Pearly Shells and the Hukilau. Next, came Beach Ball Volley ball. Then, Hula Hoop relays and Pin the Monkey on the Palm Tree. I had planned to give prizes for each of the games, but it was soon very clear that "7 year old politics" would not allow it. So we just played for fun! Who knew?
We brought out the Hula girl birthday cake and then opened presents.

Taylor got some really fun stuff from her family and friends. She got some really cute outfits from Grandma J, plus a traditional figurine. From Uncle Chad, Aunt Krissy, and Bella, she got a picture frame and a promise of a picture of Bella to put in it. From Aunt Anissa and Anje, she got her FAVORITE gift, a Password Journal by GirlTech. It only opens to the owners voice and password. When you access it, it welcomes you back and wishes you happy birthday on your special day; it also alerts you to any intruders who might have tried to get in while you were gone. She has already written several pages and is very protective of it. From Grandma Dawn, she got some cute pajamas, lawn darts, paddle ball, and a Phlat ball. Mom and Dad and Shaylie gave her a My Scene Barbie (think BRATZ only cuter) and a Volleyball/Badminton set. From her friends, she received: a dress-up rag doll, a Barbie paper dolls, a Barbie bank, a Barbie stamper, a Blo-pen craft kit, a Polly Pockets set, Sidewalk Chalk and water bottle, Swim Goggles and Snorkel, and a couple things I can't remember. The kids played until it was time to go home.

After the party, the family stayed for bbq Hamburgers and more visiting. We played Lawn Darts and Volleyball. It was lots of fun!

Sunday, after recuperating for most of the day, Grandma J took us out to dinner at Applebee's, where the servers surprised Taylor with a special birthday dessert and a rowdy song. She was hoping they would, she kept saying that she didn't think they would and when they finally came, her face turned redder than I have ever seen it. After they left, she asked why her face got so hot and red. Who knows? She was darling. The rest of us got to share a dessert compliments of our waitress who forgot Scott's dinner salad. It was Death by Chocolate cake, my favorite. Thanks, Grandma Rose.

This morning, Scott was off to work and Taylor was off to school again, dressed in a new outfit and chauffered by Grandma, who caved pretty easily. Then Grandma was off home after hugs and kisses. And Shaylie and I are just off. We had a great time and we were sad to see it end.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special weekend even better by sharing your love and kindness with us! Thanks to all Taylor's friends who helped make the party so fun! We are looking forward to Shaylie's party next! Hope to see you all there! Love, the Jesienouski's.

Field Trip Success!

Well, Taylor and I just got back from her first grade field trip. We went hiking in Snow Canyon State Park. They had a fun 1.5 mile trail that we hiked after we were given a program about how animals adapt to living in the desert. The kids have been studying the Australian Desert and it was fun to see the differences and similiarities. I heard many comments that this was "the best day of my whole life" and "this hike is awesome" and stuff like that, so the kids really enjoyed it. After the hiking was over, we ate a picnic lunch there in the campground. Then, the kids got to play in the sand dunes that are just at the entrance of the park. Taylor had a great time rolling around in the sand. By the time we came home at 1:00, I was ready for a break! Taylor was happy to have a recess coming up! Oh to have that kind of energy.

Tonight is soccer practice and then we are expecting Grandma J tomorrow. Saturday is the big day! Kite festival, game at 1:00pm, and birthday party at 3:00. And thank heaven, the weather reports look good for the day! It will be fun!

Yea!

Our gym has changed the family swim hour back to 7-8pm. Although I go to the gym at 5:30am now, this means that I will be able to take Taylor and Shaylie Swimming every night! It will also be fun to go swimming at night, as I won't have to workout before going swimming.

At the Salt Palace

I am sitting in the Salt Palace right now sending this entry. I am on my laptop, they have wireless access points throughout the building so anywhere you go you can be connected. I have noticed that I have one of the bigger laptops around, so that makes me happy, although some people like smaller ones. I rode Trax up to the Salt Palace. Tonight is the Huey Lewis and the News concert, that is going to be fun. Thanks to Doug and Lance making me go to the conference on a day when the entertain is a concert of a band I like. Hope everyone is doing well at home. E ya later.

Exposed!

Taylor and Shaylie had a little friend over to play yesterday and her mom called me this morning to tell me that she has broken out with chicken pox. I think both my girls are covered since they have had the vaccination, but I have never had it and Scott thinks I should be worried.

I'm not too worried because I figure if I get it and die, it will solve a lot of my other problems....no more back pain, no more dieting, no more stress about potty training or finances. Gotta look on the bright side, right? Anyway, I guess we'll see...the thing now is to not psyche myself out. I can already feel myself itching. This kind of reeks.

In other news, Scott was the first one to buy the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets DVD last night at Wal-mart. He followed the guy from the stockroom with the pallette of DVD and snatched one up at 11:53. Depending on how strict the other stores were about the midnight deadline, he may have been the first one in the state to buy it. Who knows? We tried to watch it last night too, but about 1:00 in the morning we were both sleeping more than watching so we bagged it. Today for sure though. We still haven't seen the deleted scenes, so I can't wait.

Well, we'll chat again later...

Just Checking In!

Nothing really new to report. Our big excitement these days is the release of the DVD: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It comes out April 11th and both Taylor and Scott are counting down the days. Shaylie and I are working on potty training. I just saw a report on the news the other day that said it is better to wait until the child is a little older before beginning, so I guess I had that right after all. Even with an older child, however, it is no picnic. I must have cleaned up 6 accidents yesterday! But we'll get the hang of it eventually. I'm giving her until she's in school before I panic.

We are looking forward to Taylor's 7th birthday. Of course, all friends and family are invited to our LUAU on April 26. The day will be very busy as Taylor has a soccer game that day and we will be going to the annual Dixie Escalante Kite Festival in addition to having her friends over for a party. Hopefully, we'll sneak a nap in sometime that day too. Grandma J is coming down for sure that weekend, too!

Well, it's time for a potty break so I better sign off. Love to everyone! Talk again soon!

Taylor's First Game

It was actually the team's third game of the season, but this was the first game for Taylor. Boy did she have a great first game. She was goalie for the first half, she handled the ball eight times and did a great job in goal. At half, the score was 2-0 in favor of us. Taylor didn't want to play goalie in the second half, so coach put her in as forward. She went in and scored a goal right off. It was great watching her, she was easily the person in charge on the field. She bounced two shots off of the goalposts. She scored another goal later. She did a great job, all the parents were cheering for her. The final score was 5-0. Our team did a great job.

New Job!

In case you haven't heard, I am the President Elect for the coming school year at Panorama Elementary! I just got back from my first meeting and I think it is going to be fun (a lot of work) but still fun! I wanted to get involved with some adults again. I am still working in Scouts, but 8-10 year old boys are somewhat lacking in adult conversation skills. I will be attending a Convention at BYU in May (I believe the dates are the 16th & 17th). I will let you all know when I will be up that way!

Meantime, the girls are doing well. We are all over our sicknesses and Taylor is going to play her first soccer game tomorrow! It is at 9:00 am, so we will need to take a blanket I'm sure. Love to you all.

P.S.-- Grandma J. We will look forward to you coming for Taylor's birthday. Everyone is invited! We are having a Hula Hoopla this year, so get ready to Luau! Talk to you soon

Final Reveal! (Trading Spaces Reference)

fairyroom (44k image)

Here is a sneak peek of Taylor and Shaylie's Bedroom with everything in place. We got the border up last weekend and it looks pretty great! The girls love it!

Great Grades!

waytogo (7k image)

Taylor got her Third Term report card yesterday and it was terrific! She got all M's (which is the equivelent of straight A's...don't get me started)! Her overall percentage is 96% and she is above level on her reading (113.3%). All percentages are above 95%, so she did an awesome job this past term!
Way to Go! We love you!

Lots of stuff going on, little of it good

This has been a bad few days. I met up with my family friday night, turns out all the girls were sick, in fact, they still are. We have taken both of them to the doctor, hopefully the medicine will help.

My home computer has again crashed and Microsoft still doesn't have a solution, even though this problem appears to be wide spread. I am reformatting today with an older operating system in hopes that it will stop dying. We lost some recent pictures of the girls, I am VERY upset about that.

A new worker was hired this week. She is the yet another example of the state hiring people that sit in front of a computer 8 hours a day, yet cannot use a computer to save their life. I have had 8 calls from her in two days, most of which to do things that are amazingly simple.

In some happy news, the girls really love their new bunkbeds. And since they are both sick, they are spending A LOT of time in their new bed.

Day 4 - Much better

The server's actually worked correctly today and we learned a lot. I am excited to implement some of the things that I learned today. The class is going much better and they are giving us food, so that always makes me happy.

Taylor had her first soccer practice on Tuesday. I hope that it went well and I can't wait to see her on play on Saturday.

My mom bought the girls' a new bunk bed, it will arrive on Monday, so Tonya is busy getting the room painted and arranged.

What a waste!

I am in Salt Lake this week for Novell Training. However, today did not go well in the class. The servers did not work right, the demos didn't work right, practically nothing worked right. The teacher said that we would be through the first book and into the third module, well we are in the first module of the first book! He said we have to hurry normally so that the last sections can have more time, it will now be unlikely that we will even get to those sections. The teacher said that he is going to spend his night there trying to fix things. I hope things go better tomorrow.

Tonya and Taylor have a story to tell, I hope they log in and write it soon.

Shaylie's Cast is off!

We went to the doctor today and Shaylie's cast was removed. She didn't like the big buzzing saw at all but she handled it very well. Her leg was mighty grungy and flaky under the cast, but I brought her home and gave her a bath (finally!!!) and it seems to be doing better. She won't put any weight on it though. The doctor said that would be likely, we should give her a couple days or even a couple weeks before she feels comfortable walking on it. I saw the x-rays they took today and the break was still visible but it was beginning to heal. So we will take good care of her until she's good as new. We go back in a month for another x-ray followup. We will let you know!

It's Snowing!

Sunny St. George, where all the snowbirds come to avoid the bad weather, is getting snowed on pretty hard! The snow is sticking to the ground, Taylor is out getting soaked in it, and all the green lawns are covered! Dry almost all winter, now we have had rain or snow 4 out of the last 5 days.

Kids say the cutest things!

I have to post Shaylie's latest thing. It makes me laugh everytime she does it, so I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it too. It's getting to be quite a comic routine. It starts out whenever she asks me for something, then I repeat it (either to clarify for myself or to repeat the correct way to say it), then she acts as if the whole thing was my terrific idea. For example:

Shaylie: Mama, wa' mo' sicle?
Mom: (To make sure I understand.) You want another popsicle?
Shaylie: Sure! Yeah, okay! (Clapping hands and cheering because her mother is so brilliant!)

It really doesn't matter what she is asking for....it always goes the same way and it always makes me smile. Don't kids say the cutest things?

Monday, Monday

I am going to the dentist today to fix a broken tooth. When I was at the dentist, everyone was saying, "Doesn't that hurt?" I had never even noticed it. The bad thing though, is that I have a video conference at 2, so I am going to be sore and on camera. Not a good combo. I also have to go and clean the church after that. Today is looking like a fun day.

Shaylie is hurt

Shaylie may have broken her leg tonight. She was out playing tag tonight with Taylor, she turned around to see where Taylor was and tripped over the slide. She started crying instantly and tried to stand up, but she couldn't put any weight on it. I carried her in, and layed her on Tonya's lap, where she then fell asleep for about an hour. When she woke up, she tried to walk on it but still couldn't. Tonya took her to the hospital where they x-rayed her leg but could only see a line on her bone. The radiologist will be in tomorrow to determine if it is broken. Right now she is has a splint on and leg is heavily taped up. She seems to be ok right now.

I love my job!

I had a person call me and say that someone's monitor was broken. She wanted to know what monitor to replace it with. I was nervous at this point, because I felt that the only reason she would ask me this was because it was a special monitor. I asked her if it was a 21-inch monitor. She said, "Yes, but it is a small one." Realizing that this phone conversation could be recorded and used in my firing, I decided to be nice. I asked her, "Is it a 17-inch monitor?" She said, "Oh, yeah." So I had her replace it with one on the 10 17-inch monitors we had in the back room.

If anyone can explain a small 21-inches to me I would appreciate it.

What a week

Thursday and Friday I stayed home last week, was really sick. Went into work on Saturday as I had to set up 15 new computers for people. Still don't feel completely great today. I wanted Tampa Bay to win the Super Bowl and guess what?! They did! Tonya is starting to feel sick, so I feel bad that she got it from me.

MonTues

My favorite day of the week! Whenever Monday happens on a Tuesday, strange things tend to happen, so I am expecting a lot of phone calls with weird problems. Will be going to Cedar tomorrow, have to set up several computers there. Will also be setting up about twenty computers in St. George Friday night.

Taylor got two tickets to a Dixie College basketball game. It was to both the girls and boys games, she and I had a fun time.

Shaylie has now used her chair a total of seven times, hopefully we will get that number much higher this week!

It now looks like my next travel time will not be until March.

A new week

Started my week early. Have three new people on Monday, so I had to make sure that they had computers. Went in and got them set up tonight.

Tonya is going to paint Taylor's room. There are talks of moving Shaylie and Taylor into the same room. Let you know what happens....

Church starts at nine o'clock now, have to get up early and get the girls ready if we are to be on time. Made it easily this morning.

I think I got the virus taken care of on my network. Had no reports of it by Friday afternoon and it looks good today.

Getting back to normal

Everyone is leaving today. Grandparents Strong are heading to Provo, Anissa is going back to Cedar City. Time to take down the Christmas decorations and clean up the house.

Work is back to normal. A person called me telling me that since she moved her computer from another part of a building she hasn't been able to print. She has been trying to print for several days. I checked, and she was printing fine, just to her old printer. She felt that was to far to walk, so I clicked on the printer next to her cube (it took seconds to fix). I told her she better go to her old printer and pick up all the papers that she printed out, as they could contain private information. She then told me that computers should know that when you pick them up and move them that they should automatically change. I told her that maybe someday that will happen.

It is nice to see that I will always be needed.
