Happy Birthday to Chad!

Today is Uncle Chad's birthday.

He is getting very old.

Soon he'll get real wrinkly

and then he'll start to mold.

He won't remember you or me

and soon he'll start to drool.

So I guess I better tell him now...

We think he's really cool.

Love you Chad!  Happy Birthday and we are going to eat cake in your honor tonight as planned.  Come visit us when you have a chance!!!

  1. I may be old, my skin all wrinkly
My hair all gray and feet all stinky
But I know that with passing time
Your body will age much quicker than mine

Thanks for all the birthday wishes

  2. Hi, I tried to go to the Christmas greeting but it says this page cannot be displayed. My computor has a problem. "Happy Birthday Chad" the poem was great Tonya.
Will see you on Friday. My Love and Prayers, Mom J>
How are you doing Scott, hopefully, good.

EDITED By Scott:  Just checked, the link does work. Except for scars and a pain in my side and my neck, I am doing fine. :-D

  3. I worry about my extended family.
They seem to send greetings unhappily.
I would work on a better rhyme,
but I am at work at this time.

  4. I'm amazed that my family,
    extended or not.
    Has such a talent,
    The whole darn lot,
    of rhyming and of humor,
    I think we need somemore.
To see how long this Birthday wish
can continue on without a miss..
So Happy Birthday, my youngest son
and be assured , 29 is still very young.

  5. Mom! I am so impressed
with the Birthday wish YOU expressed!
You always say that you can't do it,
now I'm going to hold you to it.
All this talent, and humor too,
Guess it must come from you.

  6. Mom wrote a poem? Imagine the shock!
I fell off my chair and flew out of my socks
I hit my head and it's starting to swell
Mom, I'm sending you the hospital bill.
This rhyming and nonsense getting carried away
Makes for a fun time on my birthday (um) day?

  7. We cannot resist
to be part of this list
    of birthday well wishers,
    and rhyming word fishers,
    so here's our two cents
from this girl and this gent,
    we've seen old and wrinkly,
    even goofy and stinky,
    although you've got mold
    you're not all that old
    as long as you're happy
    and only marginally sappy.

    Have many more years
    of good times and tears
    live, laugh and love
    receive blessing from above
    share laughter with siblings
and be the butt of much ribbing.
    Remember this advice from
your old man and his wife:
    Life is too good
to live just as you should
    shake loose your fears
    laugh through your tears
    To your life add spice
    when you laugh, laugh twice!
May your days all be filled with family & fun,
and each birthday gets better to a hundred and one
We are wishing you the very best times
with these exceedingly long birthday rhymes.

    Happy birthday dear Chad,
from both Pam and your Dad

  9. I don't know why ,(you all are surprised
You all, I think should have always sermize
    That you would have grown,
Learning all that your mother has known.
    That your Mom
    (Who you think is gone).
    Is really quite with it
And is not going to quit it.
    We"ll have some more fun
    Before we are done,
    And if we are done!
    Happy Birthday to one.

  10. After reading all that,
    the family tit for tat,
I don't know what to say
    on my brothers glorious day.
    I know I'm quite late,
    no head for dates,
but that won't stop me from adding two cents
from our side of the family, two girls, and three gents.
My brother, I wish for you all the happiness and joy
in your life, that, when young, we got from a toy.
I'm proud of you, and glad you are my sibling
(I promise you that I'm not kidding).
I look forward to seeing you (all of you) at New Year's
and hope we can part without all the tears.
I know I've taken my family far far away,
but in my heart you will always stay.
May we all find this connection in silly games,
and continue to play them, as old men and dames.
I better say goodnight, and finish this poem of dread.
After all, I need to get my boys to bed.
